Ausrack Plus
The Design Concept
Ausrack Plus was designed to provide an SSI and EIA-310-D compliant rack in a design that allows easy access from all sides and flexibility in both installation and operation.
To achieve these aims B&R looked at the way 19 inch racks and cabinets were usually designed, and tried to find a way. One thing we identified was that the corner posts typically used, get in the way of cabling and provide access problems. To solve this we moved the posts inside the rack. This allows cables to be run across the front, and allows two people to work on equipment installation and maintenance at once.
Ausrack Plus has also been designed to ease cable access. There are 17 different ways to get cable into the base alone. Also once cable is in the rack we have made sure that there are no snagging points and have stiffening that allows cables to pass through rather than having to loop them over the top.
Other time saving features are adjustable feet that can be adjusted from inside the rack; bend back cable entries with no tools required; a load rating of 1400kg (3080lbs) static and 900kg (1980lbs) seismic; high quality textured matt paint finish, and more.
